GV II

Terrace of 3 houses. Probably 1820s. Roughcast; slate roof with lead rolls; axial and end stacks have brick shafts with brick bands and old pots. Plan: Each house is 2 rooms with a central entrance and service rooms in rear lean-to. Exterior: 2 storeys. 3:3:3-bay front, each house symmetrical. Hipped roof with deep eaves on paired moulded brackets. Pilasters at each end of the terrace and dividing the houses have an order of egg and dart moulding and incised anthemion decoration at the top. Original sunk panel decoration to pilasters filled in, one original survives on the left return on No 1. Central front doors with doorcases with pilasters with sunk, moulded panels and entablatures with deep cornices; panelled reveals. 6-panel front doors, the overlights with geometric glazing bars and margin panes except No 3, which has been replaced with 2 panes. 2 ground floor and 3 first floor windows, all glazed with 12-pane sashes. No 1 has a lean-to conservatory added to the front. 2-storey rear lean-to with catslide roof. Low stone-coped walIs enclosing gardens to front are included in the listing Interior: Not inspected but may retain features of interest.
