Barn. Later C18; slightly altered. Handmade red brick in
English garden wall bond (4+1), stone slate roof. Three bays,
with an integral outshut to the rear of the 3rd. A tall
building in relation to its length, with a large
semi-elliptical headed waggon doorway in the centre (with
stone imposts and 2 stone hinge-anchors in each jamb), and
wooden double doors; diamond-pattern breathers on 3 levels,
and similar breathers in the left gable wall, (right-hand
corner recently rebuilt in C20 brick). The right-hand return
wall has a blocked segmental-headed doorway; and the rear has
a square-headed waggon doorway with pegged wooden doorcase.
INTERIOR: triangular piers to the doorways, with lamp-holes;
brick partition to east bay, with large 2-centred archway to
loft; 2 king-post roof trusses with fishbone struts.
Forms group with Lund's Farmhouse approx. 5 metres west
(q.v.).
