Shop, now domestic. Mid C18 altered early C19. Colourwashed
brick with pantiled roof. 2 storeys in 3 bays. Recessed
central C20 glazed door flanked by a bowed C19 three-light
shop display window right and left. Entry to doorway recess
marked by an overlight. Recess with side windows. Two 3-light
repaired C18 casements to first floor, between which is an
inset rounded panel and a wrought-iron sign standard. Dentil
and saw-toothed eaves cornice. Gabled roof. Internal gable-end
stack to north shared with No.56. Large 2-storey C20 extension
to rear. INTERIOR. One tongue-stopped chamfered bridging beam
to ground floor. Several plain-chamfered joists apparent to
first floor. Elements of partitioning of butchers' shop
survives to ground floor.
