Public house. Early C19 with mid C20 alterations. Flint with
gault brick dressings to stable block, gault brick facade to
Market Place. Slate and pantile roofs. 2 storeys and dormer
attic in 3 bays. Central glazed door under an open pediment on
consoles and a plain fanlight (no glazing bars). One C20 2/2
sash right and left under gauged skewback arches. To extreme
right a blocked door. 3 similar first-floor sashes. Gabled
slate roof hipped into north return. Return with a blocked
door and 3 various windows. Gabled roof with ridge stack. Rear
block is former stable yard entered under a flat carriage
arch. 3 first-floor sashes with 6/6 glazing bars. Gabled
pantiled roof. INTERIOR: little of interest.
