House, used as smallpox isolation hospital 1678-1730, then
house again. Mid C17, north-east bay added C20. Rendered and
colourwashed timber-frame on brick plinth. Pantiled roof,
concrete corrugated tiles to rear. Lobby entrance plan. 2
storeys and atticGabled porch added 1974. First floor with two
5-light and one 3-light C20 cross casements, first floor with
3 late C20 top-hung casements. Gabled roof with a ridge stack
left of centre, but exactly centre before extra bay added.
Rear with C20 additions and C20 fenestration. INTERIOR. Heavy
scantling timber-frame with chamfered bridging beams. Open
fireplaces. C20 staircase.
