Pair of small houses and attached coach house. Early/mid C19.
Cottages have painted rubble walls, grouted slate roofs and
rear brick lateral stacks. Coach house has rubble walls,
corrugated asbestos roof and slate-hung gables. Single-depth
overall L-shaped plan: each cottage has one room to front with
lateral stack serving rear service room. 2 storeys; 4-window
range pair of symmetrical front houses plus small extra window
inserted to far left. Late C19 four-pane casements; planked
doors, left-hand door partly glazed; flat arches to ground
floor; slate hood over doorway at No.7 right. Coach house is
5-window range with 16-pane casements, facing Westbourne Lane;
3 widened openings to create carriage doorways; 1 small
doorway on right; 2 blocked doorways and 5 blocked window
openings to ground floor. Front end has wide doorway with
loading doorway over; planked doors. INTERIOR not inspected. A
well-preserved example.
