Public house. Late C17. Painted rubble walls with 2 original
ovolo-moulded oak lintels to 1st floor of main block with
steep scantle slate roof with brick stack on left; asbestos
slate roof at lower level on right with large rendered rubble
stack on its left. Double-depth plan including rear wings. 3
storeys and 2 storeys; overall 4-window range. 3-storey
2-window range on the left with late C19 four-pane horned
sashes to upper floors, ground floor with central doorway with
hood on brackets and C20 partly-glazed door flanked by late
C19 canted bay windows with horned sashes and moulded and
bracketed cornices. 2-storey wing on right with early C19
hornless sashes with glazing bars to 1st floor; 6-panel door
on left; hood on consoles and tall late C19 four-pane horned
sash on right. INTERIOR: ground floor with beams boxed in; C19
boarded ceiling, otherwise not inspected.
