GV II

Public house. C17, with front remodelled early C19. Render on
masonry to front; steep dry Delabole slate roof with pierced
clay ridge tiles; heightened rubble stack on the left. 2-unit
central through-passage plan with 2 deep wings at the rear. 2
storeys; symmetrical 3-window front. Early C19 16-pane
hornless sashes flanking blind central window over doorway
with pilastered doorcase with moulded entablature; later C19
four-pane horned sashes to ground floor. INTERIOR has probably
C17 roughly chamfered oak or elm ceiling joists to front
left-hand room space; C19 joists to rear wing.
