Hotel. Early C19 with later alterations and addition of mansarded attic.
Sandstone ashlar with plinth, quoins and cill band at first floor; graduated
greenslate roof with lead rolls to ridges, 4 chimney stacks and corniced
parapet. Greek Revival style. 2 storeys plus attics. 3 windows: sashes with
glazing bars except inserted C20 French-window in centre of first floor. Ground
floor has single sash windows to left, tripartite sash window to right, both
with moulded surrounds and cornices supported on consoles set in slightly
recessed segmental-headed arches. Upper floor windows have moulded stone
surrounds. Central tetrastyle Ionic porch with dentilled cornice. Paired
doors; decorative glazing bars to fanlight and sidelights.
