Recorded from 1804; former inn (see "The Shears Inn" in raised letters on plat
band). Three storeys, coursed and dressed rubble with ashlar quoins and
dressings. Three windows, glazing bar sashes, blind in centre of second
floor, ground floor windows fixed, with fretted cast-iron vents above. Modern
glazed door in centre of ground floor. Modern tile roof.
