of Woodlands Hall

GV II

Garden wall. Early C19 for Thomas White. Thin courses of stone with flat
stone coping; brick inner leaf on north. Quadrant plan, the curve on the south-
east. Flat stone lintel over boarded door at south-west. North wall has flue
openings on north side.

Historical note; Thomas White was noted for his plantations on the former
Lanchester common. For these he received 9 gold and 2 silver medals from the
Society of Arts and Sciences.
