White Hermitage)

House, now two, C17 timber-framed, the main range refronted in
chequered brick in 1710. Plain tile roofs, ridge stack to main
range, side stack to crosswing. 2 storeys and attic. Main range,
No 48, has raised plinth and brick band, double-fronted with 2
casement pairs each floor, lower windows with cambered heads. Off-
centre door with cambered head, first floor above has trace of a
blocked window. Date plaque to right BL 1710. Exposed square-
framing with angle braces on east end wall. Lower crosswing, No
50, has exposed framing and painted brick. C20 metal casement each
floor to front, door on west side. C20 north end extension.
