House, now offices. Late C17 with later alterations and additions including
2-storey bay window to left. Regular coursed ironstone rubble. Steeply pitched
tile roof. Brick ridge and end stacks. 2 storeys plus attic; 4-window range. 2
entrances. Entrance to right incorporated in stone porch with stone-mullioned
and transomed windows. Entrance to left has 6-panelled door with fanlight, and
pedimented stone doorcase. Doorway is flanked by a canted 2-storey bay window to
left and tripartite sash to right. First floor has 4 windows including a bay
window, 2 sashes and a stone-mullioned and transomed window. 2 gabled roof
dormers. Ironstone parapet. No.49 interior: dog-leg stair, panelled door with
cock's head hinge in attic office, C18 ceiling bands, boxed beams, picture rails
and panelled doors. No.50 interior: dog-leg stair. C17 plaster ceiling. Noted as
having a 4-centred arched stone fireplace.
