Row of 3 cottages and a small house. Probably early C18. Coursed limestone
rubble with wooden lintels; concrete plain-tile and clay pantile roofs with
rubble and brick stacks. Single-unit and 2-unit plans in one range of several
builds. 2 storeys plus attic. The cottages each have a 2-light casement and a
doorwav at ground floor, but No.2 has 2 windows at first floor whereas Nos.1 and
3 have only one; all have gabled C20 roof dormers. No.4, with a symmetrical
3-window front, has at first floor 2-light C20 casements below chamfered
lintels, but at ground floor has a central canopied door flanked by 12-pane
early-C19 sashes rising through the lintels of earlier windows. Steep-pitched
roof is continuous over the range and has 4 stacks. Interiors not inspected.
