Barn. Perhaps C16 with early C19 extension. Sandstone rubble plinth,
timber-frame with weatherboards, sandstone rubble extension, Welsh slate
and corrugated asbestos roof. Six bays aligned roughly east/west.
North elevation has two rows of four vent slits, with one of the upper
slits removed by large former loft opening, to the right of full-height
opposed ledged doors; weatherboarding to left of the doors. West gable
is weatherboarded. Interior to the west of theshing floor has three
pairs of cruck blades, those to centre and west have tie-beams, that to
threshing floor has spurs only; wall-frame is three square panels high
from cill to wall-plate; to the east of threshing floor are collar trusses
partly renewed in C20. (RCHM Vol I, p 240).
