BIBURY OFF THE SQUARE

House on end of row. Early-mid C17. Random rubble limestone;
ashlar chimneys; stone slate roof. Square plan; 2-storey with
attic; single-storey rear outbuildngs. Full gable to each
elevation, front and rear having single-window fenestration.
Gable-mounted chimney with plain cap to side gables, south having
off-centre doorway with C20 door and single-light recessed cavetto
moulded above with hoodmould. Ground floor 2+2-light casement to
front with large relieving arch; 3-light to upper floor and 2-
light to attic, all recessed cavetto mullioned with hoodmoulds.
Square attic recess in rear gable above similar fenestration as to
front. Interior not inspected. Attached at north end of Nos 17,
18 and 20 (q.v.).
