SHERBORNE SHERBORNE VILLAGE SP 1714 9/198 East Lodge and attached garden railing, Sherborne House GV II
Lodge to Sherborne House (q.v.). Early-mid C19. Ashlar, slate roof, ashlar stack. Rectangular plan with a projecting porch on the left. Symmetrical facade, with central 2-storey square block with 2-light wood casement at centre of first floor; former doorway below now blocked with 12-pane fixed light at top. Small 12-pane casements either side. Band between floors. Single storey single bay extensions either side with narrow 10-pane fixed casements. Flat-roofed stone-built porch with pilasters at corners. C19, five-panel door set back within porch. Rear elevaton matches front elevation. Hipped roof. Tall ashlar stack at gable end of central block. Subsidiary features; simple curving cast-iron railing attached to front of lodge. Interior not inspected.
