Pair of houses. Late C18. Brick, hipped slate roof. Central staircase
plan. 2 storeys; cellar and attic to No.31. Flanking chimneys with
clay pots. Painted string at first floor level. 3 bay symmetrical
front. Outer bays sash windows with glazing bars, left second floor
window C20 2-light casement. Gauged brick heads. Pair central 6-panelled
entrance doors under segmental arch, divided in centre. Both doors
have reeded architrave with angle blocks. B.0.E. (Berkshire) p.309.
