NY 86 NE NEWBROUGH STONECROFT

6/112 High Stonecroft House

House, early C19 extended later C19. Stone, raised ashlar quoins, rubble right
bay and back. Slate roof, ashlar corniced gable stacks. Front 2 storeys, 3 bays
and later C19 bay slightly set back to right. Main section has central 4-panelled
door with 4-pane fanlight in raised surround with cornice on moulded brackets;
flanking 12-pane sashes, 3 similar windows to 1st floor. Later bay has ripartite
sash to ground floor and margined sash above. All windows have raised surrounds
and slightly projecting sills. Right return has door with tall margined fanlight
in raised surround. Rendered left return has replaced sash in raised surround
to 1st floor, above later greenhouse. Round-headed stair window with radial
glazing, and various windows with raised surrounds, to rear.
