Picturesque block of 13 cottages. Early C17 and mid C18, altered C20. Brick, Nos 27 and 28 timber frame
with brick infill. Old tile roofs of different heights, part hipped, part gabled. Dormers and reef dormers
on all fronts. Irregular plan, Nos. 16, 27 and 28 are parallel and close to road, Nos. 17-21
are between the 2 wings but set right back, Nos. 22-26 link Nos. 17-21 with Nos. 27 and
28, and are at right angles to both. One and a half storeys, No. 16 one storey with attic,
Nos. 27 and 28 2 storeys with attics. Several chimneys with clay pots, mostly on ridges.
C20 casement windows with glazing bars, doors mostly plain, some with square glass panes
in upper part.
