Detached cottage, - former lodge to Ilsington House (qv). Dated 1867.
Brick walls, slate roof with bargeboards to gables, one brick stack at right
end and one near centre. L-shaped plan. 2 storeys. Entrance in left end
wall, in gabled porch with round-arched doorway. Elevation to road has
slightly projecting gabled wing at left end. In this, ground floor has a
2-light window with glazing bars in stone gabled projecting surround. On
first floor a 2-light round-headed window with glazing bars. In right
section a similar window to that just described, on ground floor, and on
first floor a single light square-headed window with glazing bars in stone
surround. Iron railings to front, close-set with spiked tops.
