SO 83 NE TWYNING -

Brookside Cottage

GV II


Detached cottage. C17-early C18. Square-panelled timber framing
with passing braces. Right gable end painted brick. Red tile
roof. Rectangular plan. Single storey lean-to extension to left
gable end not of special interest. Originally 1½ storeys now
raised in height to two storeys. Imitation timber framing painted
onto the heightened wall. Two-windowed facade with two 2-light
casements (some possibly C19) with glazing bars. Projecting part-
glazed porch with C20 glass door and glazing bars off-centre left.
Projecting stack at right gable end. Interior not inspected.
