Large house early-mid C17. Limestone rubble with dressed stone
quoins. Artificial stone slate roof with ashlar stacks.
Rectangular plan. Extensive C20 Cotswold style range at right
angles not of special interest. Almost symmetrical twin-gabled 3-
windowed facade. Two storeys and attic. Two 4-light stone-
mullioned casements with stopped hoods to the ground floor,
single-light casement with stopped hood between the former. Two 3-
light and one 2-light stone-mullioned casement to the first floor.
Each gable is lit by a 2-light stone-mullioned casement. All
casements double-chamfered and with hollow-moulded mullions and
leaded panes. Central double C20 plank door within a dressed
Tudor-arched stone surround. Stone-mullioned casements (some late
C19 or C20 replacements) in left gable end and at rear. Roof;
flat coped gables. Twin right gable-end stack with flat-chamfered
cappings and skirtings. Chimney gable with twin stack at rear.
Interior; large Tudor-arched inglenook fireplace with moulded
surround and carved spandrels, and a moulded capping. Early plank
door to stairs. C17 carved oak panel above. Three carved oak
panels to the right of the door. Two small Tudor-arched fireplaces
in the first floor rooms. Panelled room with a fielded panelled
frieze, some panelling C17, some probably replaced C20.
