Monument in churchyard of Church of
St. Mary the Virgin
GV II
Two chest tombs. To north, unidentified of late C17/early C18;
to south, Edward Gardner 1715. Limestone. To north: Flat top,
splayed capping, no plinth visible, slab sides and ends, with plain
ovals inset into sides. Gardner: flat top, moulded plinth and
capping on base, quarter baluster corners. Large moulded
rectangular panels to sides, incised lozenges to ends. Partially
overgrown at time of survey (December 1985).
