Stableblock. Late C18-early C19 and mid-late C19. Main block
ashlar and coursed squared and dressed limestone, smaller block
coursed squared and dressed limestone. Stone slate roofs to both
ranges. Stumps of ashlar stacks now repaired in brick. Two
ranges, one larger than the other, connected by a wall to form an
'L'-shape. C20 flat-roofed garaging not of special interest.
Larger block; 2 storey, 8-windowed facade. Nine-pane sashes to
the first floor. Two 16-pane sashes with horns flanking a single
plank doorway to the ground floor. Three C20 double plank doorways
lower right. Single-width plank doorway with fanlight over to
left. Double, plank doorway lower left. Off-the-ridge and gable-
end stacks. Flat coping at gable ends. Ball finial at the left
gable end. Smaller block; 2 storeys with two circular windows to
the first floor. Two 2-light casements with glazing bars and
fanlights with raised dressed stone surrounds to the ground floor.
Two plank doors also with fanlights and raised dressed surrounds to
ground floor. Stone steps at right gable end up to loft. Diamond-
shaped ventilation hole within a dressed circular surround above.
Flat coping at gable ends. Ball finial at the right gable end.
Remains of weathervane at the left gable end. Linking wall with
single width opening to left. Interior of stableblock not
inspected.
