6/11 Thatch Cottage

GV II

Detached cottage. Late C18-early C19, enlarged C20. Limestone
rubble; C20 extension in squared and dressed artificial stone;
thatched roof with decorative ridge thatching, to main body; stone
slate roof to extension; C20 roughly squared and dressed limestone
stack and brick stack. Rectangular plan with single-bay extension
to the left gable end. 1 1/2 storey, 2-windowed facade; one 2-light
casement with horizontal glazing bars and one single-light casement
with glazing bars. Both windows late C19-early C20 with timber
lintels. Central C19 plank door with timber lintel. One 2-light
casement (as at front) to the ground floor of the right gable end.
Two-light casement above with early leaded panes. Former gable
entry now blocked with boarding. Gable-end and lateral stacks to
main body. Roof half-hipped at the right gable end. Interior not
inspected.
