Cottage, formerly a pair. C18, with later extensions. Cob, stone plinth,
plastered, under a thatched roof hipped at left. One room deep with C20 rear
leanto. 2 external end stacks of brick rendered over. 2 storeys. Front: the C18
cottage is a symmetrical 3-window range to which a mid C19 extension has been
added to the left-hand side at a slightly recessed plane. C19 porch, central to
C18 range, with gabled, slate roof and cusped bargeboard. 3-light timber
windows, all but the top left-hand window, retaining their original frames and
glazing: original first floor windows with fixed side lights and polygonal
leaded panes; ground-floor windows (no longer with glazing bars) also with
polygonal leaded panes and margin panes; the left-hand window retains its
original ring-latch. The upper left-hand window, and the 2 to the C19 extension
(both of 2 lights) with glazing bars, and larger polygonal leaded panes.
