"RWG 1862" in panel on east gable. Coursed and squared rubble, band over ground floor,
stone cornice to eaves and carved kneelers to verges. Slate roof, ashlar chimneys
with dentil capping. Two plus one windows, tall 3-light mullion windows with drips
(right hand ground floor window of 2 lights). The right hand section is a hipped roof
wing with segmental section gable to west. This gable end is a prominent feature:
it is decorated with diaper and chequer patterns of knapped and unknapped flints and
has rusticated quoins and dressings; 3 windows 1-2-1 lights with drips; central door,
lintel carved with "office". This section is topped off with a relief cross finial
on chimney of main section gatepiers: the left hand one projects from the house and
the floor band is continued across it.
