Detached house, formerly two cottages. Circa early C16 house, being extensively
renovated at time of survey in 1982. Stone rubble. Concrete tile roof with gabled
ends. Two storeys. Three window range. C20 casements with glazing bars. Two flat
roof dormers. C20 glazed door. End chimney stacks, one brick, the other ashlar
with cap stone. Tablet on rear wall "A Stark 1763". C20 glazed one storey
extension at rear.
Interior: Jointed cruck trusses, only one remains. Timber frame screen on first
floor with cambered head doorways with stopped chamfered jambs. Fireplace with
chamfered bressummer and stopped and chamfered stone jambs.
