House. Dated 1736 but with earlier core. Whitewashed brick and flint and
pantiled roof. 2 storeys. Irregular bay system. Panelled door right of
centre behind portico porch on 4 fluted timber columns supporting plain
entablature. One segmental-headed sash window to right with glazing bars and
3 similar to left. Set-off at first floor below 3 flat-headed sash windows
with glazing bars. Dentil eaves cornice. Gabled roof. C20 internal gable
stack to west. Late C16 ridge stack left of centre : square plinth and twin
octagonal flues. Tumbling in west gable head and datestone 1736. East gable
has brick diapering and 4 blocked windows. Ramped walls to right and left
enclose forecourt closed to street by railings and gates probably also of 1736.
Square section stiles with bell caps and circular section verticals with arrow
heads set into brick plinth. Gates as railings.
