TG 0325 FOULSHAM HINDOLVESTON ROAD

5/17 The Old Rectory

Late C18 house, 3 storeys, 3 bays with 2-storey mid-C19 wing at right. Two-storey,
C18 service wing at left. Brick, pantiles. A-bay system. Ground floor sash window
in outer bay, and 2 to central bay, glazing bars and cambered arches. Mid-C19 porch
to left bay. First and second floors, sash windows with glazing bars to outer bays,
round-headed, single-light windows to pedimented central bay, central keystone to
first floor window, round-headed single-light windows to central bay, central keystone
to first floor window, round-headed arches. Brick dentil cornice, interrupted by
pediment, mid-C19 with central brick blank oculus and end brackets with stone finials
and balls. Shallow hipped roof, 4 eaves and stacks and 2 off-ridge off-centre stacks.
Cornice repeated in mid-C19 wing. C19 interiors including reception rooms complete.
