Range of 3 attached cottages. C19. Painted brick, roofed with handmade red
plain tiles. Main range facing S with passage between nos. 49 and 51, internal
stack at rear left corner, and axial stack shared between nos. 51 and 53. To
rear of no. 49, 2-storey lean-to extension with felt roof, and single-storey
extension beyond with slate lean-to roof, both weatherboarded. To rear of no.
51, 2-storey wing, weatherboarded with roof of red clay 'Roman' tiles, 1986. To
rear of no. 53, single-storey lean-to extension with slate roof. 2 storeys.
No. 49, one late C19 sash of 4 lights on each floor, and C20 6-panel door with 2
panels glazed. No. 51, ground floor, one late C19 tripartite sash reduced to
4-2 lights; first floor, one late C19 sash of 4 lights; C20 6-panel door. Plain
door to passage. No. 53, ground floor, one late C19 tripartite sash of 2-4-2
lights; first floor, one late C19 sash of 4 lights; C20 6-panel door. All the
ground-floor windows have gauged flat arches, all the first-floor windows have
segmental arches. Included for group value.
