House or pair of houses, now shops and flat .C17 with mid-to late C19
alterations. Rendered over timber frame (lined as ashlar). Plain
tile roof. Framing: square panels. Probably 2 or 3 framed bays.
2 storeys and attic. Small gabled eaves dormer to left with 2-light
wooden casement. 3-window front; first-floor C19 wooden cross window
to left, C19 flat-roofed canted bay off-centre to left and C19 three-
light wooden casement to right. Pair of late C19 shop-fronts with plate-
glass windows, pilastered surrounds, fascias and cornices on carved
scrolled brackets. Rendered left-hand gable end, probably over timber
frame. Interior only partly inspected. Pairs of ovolo-moulded
ground-floor ceiling beams. Square-panel framing in right-hand end
wall.
