Milepost.1860s, repaired late C20. lnscribed Allan and Co Taunton.Cast iron. V-shaped in plan, hollow in section,sloping top, inscribed in raised letters "Taunton 4 miles" on north face and "Honiton 14 3/8"on south, plinth bears the name of the iron founders, Allen and Co. The post has been shattered but restored. Part of a good group of mileposts on the Taunton-Honiton road.
