Built 1833 and enlarged 1877. There was an older chapel in South Street dating
from 1731-2. Fine 6 window stucco front to street, 1 window at right hand side
being set back between 2 former small entrances. Tall round-headed windows and
rusticated pilaster treatment between. Very wide eaves with brackets. Main entrance
is on south side and has stone Tuscan porch. This has raised lettering with date,
"1833". Burial Ground and later Sunday Schools adjoining.
