Watermill. Mid C19. Brown brick with grey dressings and lacing courses,
and old tile roof. Basement, 2 storeys and attic. Dentil brick eaves
cornice and gabled projecting boarded semi-dormer hoist loft off-centre
to right. 3 window front; round-arched windows with cast iron radial
glazing bars. First floor round-arched 2-leaf boarded loft door between
first and second windows from right; 5 steps to round-arched bearded entrance
door to left. 3 round-arched basement openings to right. Basement and one
storey block to left with 2 round-arched windows to right, segmental bearded
basement door below, and cart shed to left with 2 large round-arched entrances.
Right-hand C20 linking block to Evelith Mill House. Waterwheel to North now
missing. Interior: some surviving fittings; 3 pairs of underdriven millstones
on first floor, marked "R G.HANDLEY, MOOR ST. BIRMINGHAM"; much surviving
shafting.
