House. C17, inserted floor and chimney C18, altered in 1930's, N wing
and new entrance c.1963. Timber frame plastered with weatherboarded
apron and long half-hipped steep thatched roof, plastered and thatched N
wing. A 1 1/2-storeys lobby entry plan house facing S. 4 windows and 2
dormers at eaves. Flush 2-light casement windows. Semi-circular thatch
porch. Entrance now into quadrant infill in rear angle. Red brick
internal stack with back-to-back fireplaces. Chamfered and stopped
joists and axial beam in part to W of stack. W bay an extension open to
roof. Exposed timbers inside. (Jackson (1983)15).
