Late C18 red brick house with low-pitched hipped Welsh slate roof.Moulded eaves cornice.Square on plan.Three storeys.Three bays.Sashes without glazing bars in segmental-headed openings, ground floor round-arched windows with keystones and central blocked doorway with panelled pilasters,moulded console brackets and pediment.Right hand (south-east) return:three storeys,three bays,ground floor two Victorian canted bays and central blocked doorway.Formerly the headmaster's house of the grammar school founded in 1650.
