at Grainthorpe
House

II

Farm buildings, stables and dovecote. c.1830. Red brick with
hipped and gabled pantile and slate roofs. 2 storey, 11 bay
block with advanced and gabled 3 storey single bay and 6 further
2 storey bays to right, the end bay advanced and gabled. Single
glazing bar fixed light to ground floor central advanced bay and
above to first floor a circular glazing bar window with 5 similar
windows to right and a blocked circular light to end gable. To
left on first floor are 7 louvred openings and 4 plain 2 light
sliding sashes. The central block has a further circular light
to the second floor and a sunk circular panel to the dentillated
gable. To the farmyard side are a central basket arched planked
doorway, with to left 3 similar stable doorways and to right 9
wider basket arches, some of which have been filled in later.
