Corner buildings in rubble, of early appearance, at present outhouses, with three splayed arches of C14 date, the centre containing ancient iron-studded door under ogee wood lintel inset in chamfered C14 arch. Interior has three corresponding chamfered and finely moulded C14 arches with damaged headstops and moulded columns. Probably remains of Great Hall. (Information on plaque says only remains of Castle are Manor Court House and Postern Gate (qv).
