Pair of cottages. C18 with C19 alterations. Roughcast cob with brick right-hand
end wall; corrugated iron (originally thatched) gabled end roof. Double depth plan
cottages, one a single room in width, the other 2 rooms wide, with 1 axial and 2
end stacks with brick shafts. 2 storeys.
Front: symmetrical 3-window range; 16-pane hornless sash windows to all except
ground floor left-hand window which has a 12-pane sash. The groundfloor windows
are set immediately below those to the 1st floor, with the 2 front doors set
between. Casement windows to right-hand end; small attic window only to left-hand
end.
Rear: irregular fenestration, altered in C20, but with one 12-pane hornless sash
window to 1st floor.
Interior: (not inspected); occupier reports that there are no exposed ceiling
beams, but that there is a good pegged roof with 5 trusses.
