House. C18/C19 front range, C16/C17 or earlier rear wing. Front range, red
brick, hipped red tiled roof. 2 red brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys. 3 window
range of small paned vertically sliding sashes. Central 2 panel 2 light door,
fluted reveals, moulded capitals to pilasters, frieze, flat canopy. Timber
framed rear wing of 2 bays and chimney bay. Jowled storey posts. Stop
chamfered bridging and ceiling joists. A house called Cokks stood on this site
1490 and appears as Cockes on Nordens map of Essex1594.
