Pair of cottages, later C18. Watershot coursed sandstone, stone slate
roof with a chimney at each end. Each cottage one bay, 2 storeys, door
on left: that to No. 217 in side wall of low lean-to porch with slab
roof, other with modern glazed porch; each has one window on each
floor: that at ground floor of No. 217 altered, others all stepped
triple-lights, that at 1st floor of No. 217 much wider. Both
originally one room deep, but now extended to rear. (Nos. 219-223
continue to left, Nos. 211 and 213 continue to right, q.v.).
