C19 later, in Tudor style. 2 storeys and cellars. 4 gabled window bays. Tiled
roof with wooden lantern. Bracketted, jettied gables with half timbering and barge
boards. Roughcast 1st floor and painted brick ground floor in the tiled Public
House frontage with Ionic pilasters carrying entablature. 1st floor with splayed
bow windows; ground floor of Royal Oak Hotel with 3 light windows with colonette
mullions. No 40, modern shopfront.

Nos 38 to 44 (even) form a group.
