House, c.1630-40 but facade rebuilt in mid C19 and other
alterations and additions of same date. Front range of original
narrow gault brick with broad mortar courses, except for the
facade which is of mid C19 grey gault brick. Rear range timber
framed and roughcast rendered. Steeply pitched roof of mid C19
slates with end stacks. L-plan. Two storeys and attics.
Gauged, grey brick arches to three mid C19 recessed hung
sashes. Central doorway, also mid C19, flanked by side lights
with doorcase of plain pilasters with plain entablature and
narrow dentilled cornice. Inside the floor framing of the front
range is visible. Spine beams and joists have ovolo moulding.
The framing is visible in the rear wing.
