2. Dated 1870. Ornate and mannered Victorian 'vernacular'. 2 and 3 storeys in 3 irregular blocks. Faced in cobbled, herringbone and upright-laid limestones divided by rubble lacing courses. Brick dressings, quoins and offset to low plinth. Scallop tiles laid in horizontal colour bands. Crested ridge. Ridged chimney on No 18. Left hand block is gable end to street. Bargeboard. 2 storey 3 light bay with sash windows. Central block is recessed and has raised top-lighting. 2 high windows with terracotta shafts and slightly pointed heads. Ground floor projects with lean-to roof. Central ornamental entrance with pointed arch, roof shafts, buttresses and raised gable. Panelled double doors. Right hand block (No 18) breaks forward again. 2 storey and attic 2 windows with pointed relieing arches. 2 light sashes on first floor - with a brick mullion on left. Ground floor has a 5 light rectangular bay to right. 3 light sashes in attic with half timbered gables. Return to north-west has much decorative brick work and a half timbered gable with a moulded wood bargeboard.
