House. Early-mid C18 core, extended C19, with flanking C20 extensions.
3 older bays to centre are of whitewashed brick, flint and plaster with
some slight timber framing to rear and internal walls. C20 extensions
are of whitewashed brick. Thatched roofs, brick chimney. One storey
and attic. C20 casements, mostly leaded, the upper windows in thatched
dormers. C20 door approximately in centre, C20 French doors to left.
Interior has re-used C16-C17 moulded stone fireplace with 4-centred
arch. Included for associations with Enid Blyton who lived at Old Thatch
1928-1938.
