4/59 Gate piers and gates at approx 200m
north of Godolphin House

GV II

Gate piers and gates. C19 re-use of earlier material. Piers are re-used C16 or C17
monolithic chamfered granite door jambs with diagonal stops. Moulded granite caps
mid 17 re-used from previous central forecourt gate (at position between previous
lodges nearer to the house). C19 wrought iron gates; bars spaced with arrow-head
finials closer below scroll-braced lock rail and ramped top rails.
