Bee house. Probably C18. Slatestone rubble. Now roofless.
Plan: Small rectangular building, now without a roof; the front gable end has
pigeonholes and would have had a pigeon loft; the rear gable end has recesses
internally for placing bee hives during the winter.
Small single storey building, built into the bank on the outer side, with gable ends.
The front gable end has a window opening with timber lintel; square pigeonholes with
slate perches above. The rear gable end has four rows of bee boles on the inside,
with curved backs and slate cills; arranged in a triangular shape in the gable. The
building is about 5 metres by 3 metres and has a small single storey-lean-to on the
outer side.
