Former vicarage. Front block finished September 29, 1750 for Robert Lerogne,
vicar (Bedfordshire County Record Office). C19 alterations and extensions to
rear. Colour washed plastered brick with mainly slate roofs but tiles to rear
of main block. Now T-plan, front block of 2 storeys and attics, rear blocks
of 2 and one-storeys. Front elevation: symmetrical, with central 4-panel
front door in moulded surround and under traceried fanlight and flat bracketed
hood. Flanked by 2 storey canted bays each with one sash window with glazing
bars per floor. Similar sash window to first floor above door. 2 recessed
dormers with 2-light leaded casements. Mansard roof with gable end brick
stacks. C19 rear block is of double-pile plan with 2-span roof. Sash windows
with glazing bars. Gable end brick stacks.
